| AMTSystems Horticultural Tag and Labeling Division and ARC Growing Software have jointly developed a cart tracking solution AMTSystems Horticultural Tag and Labeling Division and ARC Growing Software have jointly developed a handheld computer solution for greenhouse cart tracking using a Symbol MC50 Imager that integrates with ARC Growing Software. The cart tracking solution was beta and live production tested at Casertano Greenhouses in Cheshire, CT during the spring of 2007. ARC Growing Software downloads delivery driver and truck loader data to the handheld computer. At shipping time, barcodes for route and location are printed on the paper copy of the sales order for scanning by the handheld computer prior to scanning the barcode that is attached to each cart. AMTSystems handheld software tracks driver, loader, route, locations on route, and carts going to a given location. Handheld computer data gathered is uploaded to ARC Growing Software for further processing to provide reports on cart locations and give drivers instructions when to pick up the carts. The handheld computers have been written so they can be selectively operated in either English or Spanish.
